Hollywood & Vine Review: Minnie’s Seasonal Dine Worth It?

Hollywood & Vine restaurant, located in the Echo Lake area of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, features a character buffet where guests can enjoy meals alongside beloved Disney characters. This family-friendly eatery offers a delightful character experience that varies by meal and season. We visited Hollywood & Vine as a part of our seven-day Disney World adventure

The Hollywood and Vine breakfast character dine features Disney Junior characters such as Doc Mcstuffins and Vamparina. Lunch and dinner character dining at Hollywood and Vine features Minnie’s Seasonal Dining, which changes its theme depending on the time of year.

On our visit to Walt Disney World last year, we experienced Minnie’s Springtime Dine. As Hollywood & Vine is the only character dining at Hollywood Studios, it’s an ideal choice for families hoping to meet characters without long lines. Compare this experience with our other character dining reviews like 1900 Park Fare, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, and Ohana character breakfast to find the perfect character meal for your family.

For our next trip, I’m looking forward to trying the character breakfast to see the Disney Junior characters in action; I would also love to see Minnie’s Halloween Dine. Character dining variety keeps Disney trips fresh. Also consider Storybook Dining at Artist Point for a unique Snow White experience, or Garden Grill at Epcot for a rotating restaurant with Chip and Dale.

Hollywood & Vine Character Interaction Experience

Upon entering Hollywood & Vine, you’re transported to a retro diner setting with classic touches and a nostalgic vibe. There’s a photo spot near the entrance where you can snap a few photos before heading to your table, though there aren’t characters present in this area.

The main attraction here, of course, is the characters themselves! Throughout our meal, we were visited by Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, and Goofy, all decked out in their festive spring attire for Hollywood and Vine’s Minnie’s Springtime Dine.

Each character visited our table, giving us ample time for photos and autographs without feeling rushed. It was refreshing to see that each character interaction was carefully spaced out, allowing them to engage with the kids and make the experience memorable.

Character costumes change for the different seasons, so each dining experience can feel new and different depending on when you visit. Cast members checked in with each table to ensure they got to meet each character.

The table next to us happened to be in the bathroom when Mickey came around. The cast member made sure that Mickey went back to that table. It was nice to see the cast members ensure everyone receives the full character dining experience.

Hollywood and Vine Menu: Buffet Review

The food on  Hollywood & Vine’s menu exceeded our expectations for a buffet, offering a variety of options to cater to all dietary preferences. I’m a vegetarian, and I was pleased to find multiple plant-based options, such as crispy tofu with an Asian glaze, a flavorful potato dish, and a well-stocked salad bar.

For families with picky eaters, there’s a dedicated kids’ buffet section offering classic items like chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, and tater tots. My daughter, who can be particular about her food, was thrilled with the kids’ options.

The buffet also included a carving station for meat lovers and a range of meat and seafood dishes, ensuring that everyone in our group found something they enjoyed. The highlight for my kids was undoubtedly the soft-serve ice cream station—they made multiple trips for refills, adding sprinkles and toppings with excitement. The unlimited soft serve ice cream made Hollywood and Vine a favorite for the kids.

For a balanced meal, there were also plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, which I appreciated as a parent. Overall, the buffet offered something for everyone and the quality of the food added to the enjoyment of our visit. There are 2 sections of the buffet, which offer the same dishes to cut down on any buffet line.

Why We’ll Return: Fantasmic Dining Package

This was our first time dining at Hollywood & Vine, and it’s safe to say it’s now on our favorite Disney World restaurants list! On our next trip, I plan to reserve it as part of the Fantasmic Dining Package. This package allows reserved seating for Hollywood Studios’ evening Fantasmic! show, an incredible nighttime performance featuring fireworks, water projections, and classic Disney scenes.

Several restaurants in Hollywood Studios participate in the Fantasmic Dining Package, so it’s worth exploring these options on the My Disney Experience app for a memorable end to your day.

Enjoy Goofy at Hollywood & Vine in Hollywood Studios, Disney World

Our lunch at Hollywood & Vine was the perfect way to cool off, enjoy a good meal, and take a break from the hustle and bustle of the park. The character interactions were fantastic, the food options were varied and satisfying, and the overall great experience left us eager to return.

We highly recommend Hollywood & Vine for families visiting Hollywood Studios, whether for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
