TownePlace Suites Orlando at FLAMINGO CROSSINGS Town Center/Western Entrance: Full Review
If you’re planning a Disney trip and want to stay close to the magic without breaking the bank, TownePlace Suites Orlando at FLAMINGO CROSSINGS Town Center/Western Entrance is a great option. Just minutes from the parks, this Marriott property delivers spacious rooms, free breakfast, and excellent value—especially if you’re using Marriott Bonvoy points.
Booking With Marriott Points (and Maximizing the Perks)
For our last trip to Disney World, we booked our stay entirely with Marriott Bonvoy points, and it ended up being an incredible value for a full week at Disney. With no resort fees, low parking fees ($10 per night), and plenty of award availability, this was an easy win for a family trip.
We used a mix of:
- Points earned on our American Express Marriott Bonvoy Bevy Card
- Two free night certificates—one from the Bevy Card and one from the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card
Thanks to Marriott’s 5th Night Free perk on award stays, we only needed points for four nights to cover the first five. We added two free night certificates to complete a seven-night stay, and didn’t pay a dime out of pocket for the room—just the pet fee and nightly parking, which may not apply to everyone.
You can often book Townplace Suites for as low as 20,000–30,000 points per night, making it a great use of points or certificates—especially if you’re traveling with kids or staying for more than a few days.

Location: A Quick Drive to Disney World
This hotel is located in the Flamingo Crossings area just outside the Western Entrance of Walt Disney World. We loved being close to the parks without the noise or traffic of more crowded areas. It took us about 10–15 minutes to get to each park by car, and the drive was super easy.
Family-Sized Suites With Kitchens
Our suite at Townplace Suites came with a full kitchen (2 burner stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, full-size fridge), a dining table, and a separate sitting area. Having the option to cook or store snacks and drinks was a huge plus, especially with kids. We stocked up on groceries on our arrival day, and having a fridge to store fruit and drinks saved a lot of money on food while in the parks.

Pet-Friendly and Spacious
We brought our 2 dogs along for this trip, and the hotel was incredibly pet-friendly. There were grassy areas for walks and the staff was welcoming to our furry guests. Many of the major hotel chains near Disney World allow pets and many offer free breakfast as well. Free Breakfast That Actually Delivers
Unlike many “free breakfast” offerings, the breakfast here was solid. There were hot items (eggs, sausage, waffles), plenty of kid-friendly choices (waffles, yogurt, cereal, muffins), and fresh fruit. We filled up every morning before heading to the parks.

Amenities and Atmosphere
The pool was spacious, clean, and great for rest days or mid day breaks at the hotel. There’s also a fitness center, laundry room, and a small market onsite for snacks. Flamingo Crossings Town Center is right across the street and has restaurants, a Target, and a CVS.
Final Thoughts: Is It Worth It?
Absolutely. TownePlace Suites at Flamingo Crossings has quickly become one of our top picks for Disney travel. Between the point value, the comfort of having more space, and the perks like free breakfast and pet-friendly rooms, it hits all the marks for a family-friendly, budget-conscious Disney stay.
